Program Information and Hours: The Youth Center is a safe and secure drop-in program; you can relax with friends, play ping-pong or pool, watch TV, read and do homework, play PS4 games, and utilize the large computer lab. Daily hours throughout the school year are: Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 7:00pm. The Youth Center is closed on Saturday & Sunday.

Director’s Message: As we enter April we have lots of exciting things going on here at the Flagler Youth Center!  The Spotlight Talent Show is right around the corner and open auditions will be held here at the Youth Center on April 16th and 17th from 5-7 pm.  The Flagler Education Scholarship Ceremony will be held at the Flagler Auditorium April 18th from 6-8 pm. And we only have 10 spots left for summer camp. This is always an exciting time of year as the the end of the school year is fast approaching.  I would like to encourage all the students in Flagler County and especially the seniors to finish strong! The finish line is right around the corner!

Summer Camp: Open Registration for the 2019 Summer Camp is still going on. The camp is open to incoming 6th-9th grade students and the cost is $165 for the entire summer. G.W. Carver Online Auction: Mark your calendars NOW, the George Washington Carver Foundation’s annual online auction will be up and running from April 10th - 24th.  We have lots of great items to bid on from vacations, to golf, to fishing trips, and much more! Check out the auction at auction.carverfoundation.org and bid on some really great items!

Road to Success Program:  RTS has helped 196 young adults earn their GEDs to-date with 26 of those earning honors.   RTS is a FREE year-round program and currently enrolling now for March. RTS enrolls up to 45 students per year, we focus on GED prep, life skills and pre-employment training. Over the last several months RTS has had 97% of students graduating with their GEDs and a job or post-secondary education. In March we started two new students “paid” internships at the Flagler Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity’s Thrift shop. Students attended the Job fair at Daytona State Campus, where two students obtained jobs from attending.  Workshops this month included, in-house educational and training workshops by Sayskids Bryan Perry, Wells Fargo Bank, Travis Thomas from Flagler Technical Institute, Know the Law presented by DJJ, resume writing assistance. Field trips included the Palm Coast Fire Department, to the ATC campus and the main Daytona State Campus in Daytona.

In April, RTS students will have graduation pictures completed, Saykids, and First Aid / CPR certification class.
