Hours of Operation: The Youth Center daily hours, throughout the Summer, for Summer Camp are: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm.  The Youth Center is Closed on Saturday & Sunday.  

Road to Success Program Update 2017: RTS has helped 112 young adults earn their G E Ds,12 with honors, along with life skills and pre-employment training.  Workshops included resume and mock interviewing, assessments, budgeting 101.   Certification classes this month included First Aid & CPR and Food Handlers Certification. Seven students are in the Paid Work experience portion of the program.  Students are working at local agencies like, Habitat for Humanity, Flagler Humane Society and Twin Gaits Stable in Ormond.

RTS is having an Open House event on June 2nd from 10:30am to 1:00pm at the Carver Center.  RTS graduates will also be attending FTIs graduation ceremony on June 7th at the Flagler Auditorium.  We have 37 young adults eligible to walk this year.  For more information about the RTS Youth Program contact, Brian Willard, Program Manager @ 386.437.8279.

2017 Spotlight on Youth Talent Show Friday, May 26th, 7pm, Flagler Auditorium HUGE SUCCESS:  Once again the school year concluded with the annual all County Spotlight On Youth Talent Show, prepared to crown the 2017 Entertainers of the Year, in the Elementary (K-5), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12) Divisions. The show was FABOLOUS!  The crowd was awesome, and everyone deserved to win! Trophies were awarded to 1st Place – 3rd Place winners in each division. All 1st place winners are also named “2017 Entertainers of the Year”! Congratulations to ALL participants, especially the following winners:3rd Place: Edwina Mezo (BES), Andrew DeZego (ITMS), Hoffman Family Band (Home Schooled). 2nd Place: Scotty Wiggins (BTES), Jada Guarino (BTES), Lorien Shanel Givens (MHS), 2017 Entertainers of the Year: Emma Schwen & Emma Reiter (BES), Mills Family Band (Home Schooled), Heather Klayman (MHS).

2017 Youth Center Summer Camp Trips: Summer Camp Trips are open to All Flagler County youth. Check out the list below, and if interested in any trips, sign-up, with payment in hand, in the Youth Center.

Trips:  Daytona Lagoon: June 9th, 21st, and July 6th.  Universal: June 13th.   Bowling: June 23rd, and July 21st. IMAX Theater: June 28th.  Skate & Shake: July 12th. Epic Movies: July 19th, and Typhoon Lagoon: July 26th.

FYI: Summer Jam Fest & Back Pack Give Away: Carver Community Center Saturday, July 22nd: Mark your calendars TODAY, and prepare to attend this “FUN” event, sponsored by “Team We Care LLC”. This IS  a back to school event  with Food & Snacks available for purchase. On site will be free Health Screening, Bounce House, Line Dancing, Basketball Games, and Vendors.
