SWAT Club Update: Great News, Prop 94 was withdrawn by the Constitutional Review Board! The CRB was looking to taking all currently Tobacco Funding and move it to Cancer Research, which would destroy Florida Tobacco initiatives. A strong lobby against Proposition 94 won their point, and the recommendation was withdrawn! Youth Center SWAT distributed 500 Fortune Cookies, with anti-tobacco fortunes, for Kick Butts Week, March 19th – 23rd. The cookies were so well received that BTMS is now thinking about starting their own SWAT club, next school year. Finally, a new vaping tool has been identified, it is called a Juul. A Juul looks very much like a computer jump drive, but instead it is a powerful vaping unit.
