Walk For Food: Pastor Silano his Grace Tabernacle Food Pantry is holding a “Walk For Food” on Saturday, March 5th at 10am, on the FPC Track. Admission to walk is $10, plus canned food donations. Join in on the festivities and help us help to feed Flagler’s Hungry!

Youth Center’s Summer Camp Registration: Once again the Youth Center will sponsor their annual Summer Camp, for youth going into 6th grade – youth going into 9th grade. March is the beginning for Open Enrollment. for campers. This year’s program runs Monday – Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm beginning on Wednesday, June 8th, and concludes on Friday, July 22nd. Registration is open until all spaces are filled and is based on a first come first serve basis. The TOTAL cost for camp is $150.00. Throughout the program there are various trips, which you can pay as you choose to go, including destinations like: Daytona Lagoon, Universal Studios, Typhoon Lagoon, to name a few. Road To Success Program: RTS has 7 seats are left for this year, which ends June 30th.
To-date 66 students have earned their GEDs with 8 students scoring honors. We had our first paid “work experience” participant finish the program and was hired on as a Full Time employee, congratulations Christina. Our Guest speakers for February included, Wells Fargo conducting banking & financials workshops, Girlfriends Connected, female mentoring by Sharell Arneaud. Bounce Marketing Inc – personal and business budgeting, soft skills, Coaching the Global Village, Inc workshops on cash register training, networking 101, Jesse McGee from Case management Inc. – Life skills workshops, 5 Students obtained their Food Handlers Certification, 11 received First Aid & CPR and4 obtained jobs. SWAT”s WNZF Segment: Destiny Cole, Daniel Thomas, Cassidy & Katelynn Coveningtonn, and Kamrin Bunn: Members of the FCYC SWAT Team, and Landon Stone, from ITMS Swat Team visited WNZF Studio and recorded a radio Public Service Announcement concerning the negative effects of Chew tobacco. Everyone did and awesome job and the announcement sound awesome.
Teen Court Mock Trial Competition: Once again the Youth Center was proud sponsor of the Flagler County Teen Court Mock Trial Team. This year the tem hosted the event, on Friday, February 26th, with teams from Clay & Volusia County. It was an awesome time for all! Special thanks for all: Sponsors, Mentors and Volunteers. March Motown Madness: Mark your calendars NOW, for Saturday, March 26th, 6:00pm, for “Motown Madness”, at the G.W. Carver Center! This Dinner Dance, featuring music by the popular group “Traces of Gold”, is designed to have a super time, while raising funds for George Washington Carver Foundation. Tickets are $50pp, and will be available at the Carver Community Center, Flagler County Youth Center, as well as from every G.W. Carver Foundation Board members. Step back in time, and enjoy great food, and dancing the evening away at this wonderful new event.
Relay for Life Dodge Ball Tournament: Members of the Youth Centers Student Advisory Council & SWAT Chapter are hosting a Dodge Ball Tournament on: Thursday, March 24th at 6:00pm, to benefit Relay For Life. All proceeds raised will be donated by teams to combat Cancer!
